Welcome to the live text commentary for stage 7 of the 2010 PowerNet Tour of Southland. This 163.60 km stage is sponsored by WHK and starts in Winton at 10:00.

The live text commentary today is being provided by Tony Corkill (PowerNet) and Sarah van Boheemen (Bike NZ).

The riders will pass though the following places today: Winton - Centre Bush - Wreys Bush - Nightcaps - Ohai - Blackmount - Manapouri - Te Anau (Hollyford Boulevard) 

Patrick Bevin won this stage last year in a time of 4:15:49, edging out Marc Ryan, Alex Ray and Heath Blackgrove in the final sprint. Blackgrove took over the yellow leader's jersey from Jack Bauer and was wearing the same jersey on the podium in Invercargill on the Saturday. Heath then got married shortly after the stage presentation and then showed up at the Tour Dinner with his bride.
